The black female dog was found when a railway wagon loaded with coal coming from Rovinari mining field ( some 120 kilometers north to Craiova ) was unloaded at the Craiova Power Plant 2.
The dog who unwillinglly did this long trip by train had both hind legs severed.
We can assume, along with the workers who found her, that a 'charitable soul' decided the best way to help the animal, whose legs had probably been severed by train, was to embark her in the wagon on top of the coal pile .
It's not difficult to see why : in the harsh world of the mining field ( Rovinari it's not a mining pit , the coal is unearthed at low depth ) an invalid animal is just a broken tool , a mouth that needs to be fed and doesn't do its job .
Lucky enough to survive the accident and the perilous trip the dog was taken in custody by a lady who works at the power plant.
She's a true survivor , the handicap hasn't altered her merry nature . She doesn't need special assistance , she manages to walk and even to play . She also has control of the urinary bladder .
We think that what she deserves best is a house with other animals and perhaps children who could play with her as now she spends most of the day left alone .
