Bucharest, Romania. January 2010. The city is covered in snow and ice, it’s freezing cold.
This is when this approx. 10 years old female dog, with partially ripped face and large open wound is found on the streets by a lady who, unlike many, couldn’t walk away from all her pain and sufferance. Hope (this is how we named her) was taken immediately to the vet for medical assistance.
She is very gentle and frightened, in a very poor state of health, but she seems to be recovering by each day.
She is a little deaf and she ignores other animals, she just wants to be left alone, to sleep near the radiator. She walks like a shadow, hiding her ripped face, afraid to make any noise so that one could not even notice that she’s in the room.
She can only stay at the vet until she heals, but after, she desperately needs a peaceful and quiet home to stay until the end of her days.
Is there a home for her out there? We still have faith. This is why we named her “Hope”, so please help us in finding a warm and quiet house for this old little one.
