Special thanks to Sylvia and Betty from http://www.animalmedicalcarefoundation.com/ who also supported part of Mao`s medical costs, in Romania.
A cat with a dog soul.
Mao, a beautiful kitten who’s life has changed forever
Mao is a 5 months stray kitten, born and grew up in a public park from Bucharest , Romania .
On November 15th 2009, her life has changed dramatically, as she has suffered a serious injury (most probably caused by human). Her spine was broken, leading to rear legs paralysis.
Following a call for help, she was found a day after and provided with medical assistance. The doctors could only confirm that Mao will never walk again with her rear legs and recommended euthanasia.
But Mao is a loving, caring and playful little cat, keen to live her life as it is, so it was impossible for people who met her to put her to sleep.
She is a little angel, very sociable, desperate for the company of people, cats or dogs. She is a wonderful lap cat; she could spin and play all day long.
Unfortunately, it seems that nobody in Romania can afford the time and attention to offer Mao with an adequate and decent life, as she needs daily cleaning and care (she wears dippers, as she has urinary irretention and she also needs rear washing and oiling for the treatment and prevention of soars).
While failing to find a permanent home for Mao, people who have initially saved her from the park are now thinking to put her to sleep.
Mao has changed by now two temporarily homes and she is soon about to move to a third one, in an attempt to save her life.
